The alpha angle has been widely used in the assessment of cam-type of impingement, but recent studies have shown that this angle may also be high in asymptomatic patients. The aim of this study is to report the prevalence of cam-type morphology in asymptomatic volunteers and explore its correlation with hip clinical and radiological parameters.

Hip dysplasia is a common condition in active adults with hip pain that can lead to joint degeneration. Periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is a common surgical treatment for hip dysplasia. The effect of this surgery on pain, function and quality of life (QOL) has not been systematically analysed.

The postoperative management of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is variable with favourable surgical outcomes. Yet there is no evidence on the efficacy of hydrotherapy in athletes undergoing hip arthroscopy for FAI. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role and the impact of hydrotherapy on return to sports following hip arthroscopy for symptomatic FAI.
